That blue thing on the bottom is probably for some sort of early childhood electronic toy and not a video game console. I had this janky laptop as a kid from the same brand which is apparently hilariously called a "precomputer." No idea what that thing up top is.

>how much are these worth?
I dunno man. Go check out eBay and see how much those things have sold for recently.

thanks. my quest of finding what this blue thing continues

VTech makes early childhood electronic toys. Since it says "melodies DJ", it might be some sort of musical instrument like a fake toy keyboard or a fake toy turntable. Maybe try asking >>>/toy/ (I've never been there, so not sure how helpful they'd actually be)

im more interested why there is a gba slot -ds game adaptor when you could just put the ds game in the ds slot

In the early ds flashcard scene people used a combination of higher end GBA flashcards and ds "passthrough" cars that just redirected the ds to launch the data on the GBA cart in ds mode. That still doesn't quite explain what's going on here though.

Does it boot anything
Do you have a original ds / lite to test it with?
Do you own a ds flashcart?

It's an Action Replay for GBA, and also a save manager for DS that could back your saves up and/or load modded save files. This was during the early days when they didn't have a functioning AR for DS yet, this was a stopgap. Shit was janky and weird. Pretty sure it didn't let you back up your Wild World save either, aka the one thing I would have found useful.

Interesting, it's like it's own self contained power saves. Since they already had the tech to make unsanctioned GBA games at the time that's pretty genius.

A day has passed and I still haven't coped with the fact that I used something called a precumputer as a child.
