So it's pretty much universally agreed that most games based on movies or TV shows suck. But lets start a list of actually GOOD games in this "genre", whatever you want to call it.

Rescue Rangers was fucking boss. It's still fun to play now, even if it is easy.

Gremlins 2 is an amazing game. It has quite a bit of "what the hell does this have to do with the movie?" in it, but it's a solid overhead platformer with typical Sunsoft quality graphics and music.

It's pretty unforgiving too. You don't even start with extra lives, they are simply earned.

Rather than re-tell the 1982 Blade Runner film, the developers created a different story set in the same universe, serving as a side story. The game has thirteen possible endings.

Yes, I've been playing them all week. I did the two on NES, and first one on Game Boy, and the SNES one. They all still hold up well. It's neat that most of them give you multiple characters to play as, which is something I wish more games did.

Seriously, you guys need to find this game ASAP. Blade Runner is fantastic. You have to perform Voight-Kampff tests to decide if suspects are Replicants and everything, and there are nods to stuff mentioned in the book like the synthetic animal service place. There are places where you will be put on the spot to make judgement calls that will have consequences. If you like Blade Runner AND point-and-clicks, you should own this.

I disagree about CND2 being better than 1. Sure technically it tried to improve the formula, but level design is just not as interesting and the action overall either. Plus it lags like hell in 2 players and 2 players is the best thing about CnD.

I agree about Duck Tales 2 being much superior to 1 though, the only thing DT1 has over 2 is the music, and again that's arguable. DT1 has more kickass music but it doesn't fit the stages (any music could go in any stage) while in DT2 the musics are more moody and give atmosphere related to the stages.
