What's the best persona game in your opinion?
Is 4 any good? I'm playing it and so far I'm getting kind of bored, so I'm just wondering if it gets good anytime soon. I like the concept but the anime aesthetics are kind of turning me off.

Also can we talk about this game here now? I really despise /v/

Play 3, it has a much better atmosphere. If the ally AI filters you the PSP version allows for direct command. That said you might like Digital Devil Saga better.

I remember people freaking out about persona 4 because the 6th gen addition but this is literally the first thread about the game. We've had more crysis and tf2 threads. Just goes to show who the actual problem is.

It's pretty based, but you can expect to lay 150-300 hours on the line if you really wanna dig into it.
Main story if you do nothing but the essential will take 85 hours, it's a long ass game, most jrpgs up until that point took 40-50 hours

4 is weird, it takes the 3 formula and tries to change it with an (IMO) weaker setup. Cast is great but the pacing and length can drag a bit, suffers from the same issues 3 did but 4 drags worse but the dungeons are a bit more interesting,
3 FES or portable is a good start for "modern" persona/SMT (though DDS and other numbered entries are better as an overall game) but if you love older style isometric rpgs i cant recommend the 2 duology enough.
