Dead Or Alive has no future and is dead, you will probably never find anyone to play with and the game only plays really well if you've been playing the series for years.

It's one of the best feeling fighters I've ever played but at the same time it is objectively unpopular post-360 era. Fighting against CPUs is adequate but human opponents are so much better, and in terms of single-player content DOA is pretty barebones.

If you go into it strictly to have fun it will be a decent experience, but trying to take it seriously will only lead to disappointment.

Soul Calibur has a larger playerbase, more content to play around with if you have no one to play with, and probably a way lower skill ceiling to work toward
