So who else grew up with an arcade that had the adult games?

Gals Panic was common enough, but did you ever encounter the others? They were rare but bootleg copies showed up from time to time.

We had a shady arcade that carried bootleg arcade units, and they had a ton of these. (This same arcade had the bootleg SF2 that let you change characters mid-battle, and all kinds of fucked up moves).

I remember being amazed at the block gal intro, but this bootleg cabinet had random pictures of asian porn stars instead of the animu graphics.

They also had "Pocket Gal" from data east at this arcade.

Generic striptease pool. It kind of sucked.

The only thing more shady with an arcade that had these games was that no one ever seemed to give a fuck if kids played them.

They were not especially lewd (just some exposed nipples in the full reveal) but I can imagine modern soccer moms losing their shit if they caught their kids playing them.

Can you name some good image reveal games I could try out on MAME? I saw Arino playing one once and it actually looked damn fun.

I played a copy of Fantasia here in hueland. When I was FIVE.

Dancing Eyes, it's not porn though.

Also Sentimental Shooter for PC, I don't think it's retro though.

Most are just Qix or Breakout/arkanoid clones.... Find one on youtube that has art style you like and grab it for MAME.

Dancing eyes is a bit different though. It is like 3D Qix. You strip girls and then you control the camera as they prance around, bend over, and crawl on all fours.

Stewardess
Military Girl
Bunny girl
Catgirl
Office lady
etc

I fucking hated that in the older games.

Take too long and the girls turn into monsters or worse: Fat dudes.

Yea it was the pool hall arcades that were more likely to have these games.

Yeah, man. My dad used to let me enter in the pool tournaments with him. So when I was waiting for my turn to play he would just throw quarters at me and make me stay in the arcade so I wouldn't hang around the bar. Pipi Bibi's all day.

Gals panic S was my favorite in the series. Dominatrix was best level.

S2 was alright but the stupid phone thing drove me crazy. I want powerups for beating puzzles, not phonesex hotlines.

Get Pachinko Sexy Reaction on MAME, 2 is kind of crap though.

That distinct Japanese arcade feel of gambling while anime girls undress for you.

I also visited different arcades there.

they used to have a lot of retro adult games, most of them mahjong of course..

I know he did a thing on Night Trap for Sega CD. Is that what you are thinking of?

While it had the production values of a soft core porn film, complete with washed up actress Dana Plato, it was not an adult title. It was actually a survival horror game.

While I never found any retro adult games in arcades (closest thing: the adult games on the Megatouch Maxx, which barely would fit here), however I did go through almost all of them (bar the mahjong ones, because while I am... at least not retarded when it comes to mahjong, the fact that I can't read shit and most games add some sort of power-up system to the game screws me pretty hard). My favorite one is Moeyo Gonta (Lady Killer in international markets), a fun little game where you play a diver, revealing tiles of a picture.

I remember this, also I remember an arcade having some weird version of that game where you have to change most of the pieces to your color, only the better you did in the game the more clothes came off, they were never fully naked though and they would put arms over their chest when the top came off.

if I remember right, there is a mode you can set the machine in that takes off all their clothes.

Games with sexually suggestive themes where pretty common in japan in that time and many of the bigger arcade developers made them. It's not that shocking at all.

I can't get it to run on MAME for some reason, so I can't check this apart from knowing that the dip switches aren't labeled, but Sutorippu (a site specializing in Japanese strip video games) classifies Dancing Eyes as a 1/5 in nudity - "Swimwear, underwear, or Barbie-doll nudity." - and the article says "Successfully clearing away the girl's outer clothing causes her to pose and strut for you in her skivvies while you control the camera. Sadly, you don't get the opportunity to strip them further as you're forced to select from new girls after each stage.".

I looked it up, I think I was thinking of the see through mode. which simply makes the clothes transparent with wire frames. It was probably used for testing purposes

Not really an adult game, but Strikers 1945 would show your pilot nude or nearly nude if you beat the game with all gold medals.

I got it to run on MAME .147 last night. I hadn't played it in years and couldn't find my old roms. I downloaded it again because of this thread.

It ran fine and the catgirl was adorable. Plenty of "nyan" while crawling on all fours. Based Namco.

The 3D graphics have aged badly though.

I just now updated to .149 and it worked here too. I think I had .147u2 before, so that might have screwed with something (as MAME so often does with updates). Playing it now. Pretty neat concept, just a shame it didn't go all the way.

In one of the local taverns, there's a Mega Touch arcade machine with adult mode activated. I think one of the games in there is "Way Too Drunk Too!", sequel to the more SFW "Way Too Drunk" where you have to keep a guy balanced while he's shitfaced drunk; except in this variation (XXX mode activated), you have a woman to keep balanced, and the further down the street she goes while balanced, the more of her clothes go missing. Naturally, the more difficult it also gets to keep her on her feet.

There was this game called Miss World 98. I was too young to have boners so i never played it. But the main reason i didnt play it is that during the course of game, the sexy picture changes into something that scarred me for a week. It even scared the the guy who WAS playing

Played up to S3 which I think might be the most recent one, admitidly using Mame but then the odds of seeing them in the wild in the west are extremely slim.

Also played the Saturn version Gals Panic SS, which is also very good
