Based on the anime. Guide Lum through her school years from kindergarten to high school and finally culminating in her wedding day. Or something to that effect.

I played it, bit clunky but still fun action arcade game.
I think it was a reskin of an actual arcade game with an original character.

Weird little platformer where you play as a mecha T-rex that shoots out text that stuns enemies. Platforming stages are comically easy (and short) but the bosses are all odd puzzles like memory or word games. They can be weirdly brutal if you don’t figure out their patterns and the English fan patch doesn’t help things whatsoever. In fact it makes the game 100x harder (for example, one of the games involves a set of picture cards. The computer chooses one, lets say ‘Tree’ and you have to pick a card that has an image that begins with the last letter of the previous word. So the letter is E so you’ll need to pick a card like ‘Eggs’ and from there a card like ‘Sun’. It’s incredibly basic but to get the game working in English, some cards have unusual names. So ‘Pig’ is ‘Oinker’ for example. It ends up making the game needlessly tough, and bosses can combo you to death if you fuck up once on the memory games, etc)

Time Zone is a Famicom platformer. The worlds are based on different time periods and your attack is throwing your cap. The graphics and quirkiness are reminiscent of EarthBound. Not the most amazing game in the world, but it is enjoyable enough and probably would've been an NES "hidden gem" list mainstay had it released in the US. Surprising that it didn't release in the US, too, given some of the shitty games that were localized.

Gravity Well. A Windows 3.1 shareware action game that's kind of like Space Invaders with RTS basebuilding elements. I wasted a lot of time with this as a kid. The shareware version would end when you defeated one of the three enemy teams, so I would purposely leave one surviving building for each team to get the most gameplay out of it. Ah, the joys of being a poorfag gamer in the 90s.

Momoko 120% was the arcade version without the Lum license, but they used the theme song from the anime with full JASRAC authorization and everything.

Recoil. A 3D action game from 1998 where you drive a tank and blow stuff up. Mostly notable as one of the first 3D games to feature destructible terrain. In this screenshot, the player is using a bomb crater to hide from enemy bullets. Even today, this is a rare feature in games.

Spooky Castle is an indie game for Windows 98 if I recall correctly, made by a man called "Hamumu".

This game to me on a bootleg PC game collection, but I investigated and this was actually distributed on a "E-games CD" game collection, beats me what that is.

This is a pretty fun and hard dungeon crawler where the protagonist can power up if he picks pants, and he can attack with hammers who roll on the floor.

I actually have a sizeable world and many secrets to discover, this stuff is very challenging and well designed. Go try it, it is actually lots of fun.

I just discovered it is available for free on itch.io

The licensed Famicom port is shit but the original arcade version is actually good. Typical of Jaleco, it's absolutely soulful.

eGames. It (was?) a pc game publisher located in western Pennsylvania. They published a bunch of kid friendly platformers and compilations of their various games. I dont think they ever actually developed anything. Spook Castle got a solo release on its own cd and had the subtitle "Kid Mystic". I have a whole bunch of their games ive collected because they are really nostalgic to me.

Ultimate Domain/Genesia is a DOS turn based strategy game with city building elements. It looks like a Populous rip-off, but actually plays closer to something like Colonization. The learning curve is so steep they included directions on how to play the game for the first few in-game years to prevent players from screwing themselves at the start. Even on the hardest difficulties, the AI is a push-over. Still a fun game where you go from barely surviving with four people to having an empire and sending balloons around to bomb the shit out of your enemies.

Anon, the current /vr userbase has people who tried to claim that Bionic Commando was obscure. To be fair to Wagyan Land guy, the game is relatively obscure in the West, due to never being released there and not often being brought up in English discussions.

I live in Peru - South America, and this game came to me on a burned CD my dad bought on a flea market; it got a bunch of other games like Boulder Dash, Carnivore and Moto Racer 4. It is fantastic and very interesting how this Pennsylvania local indie game got all the way here in the 90's. Thanks for the insight, from time to time I remember this game a search a bit about his origin.

Been gaming since the 80s and I've never heard of it before. Besides, this thread doesn't need to be a competition to see who can post the most obscure game. We can just share games we like that other people might not know about.

I thought it was Asmik-Kun Land at first but that's not the same company. Kero Kero Keroppi no Daibouken 2 - Donuts Ike ha Oosawagi! also fits the description

Love both these games. Two of the first jap games I got after I got my twin famicom. Beat nicol, but I can't beat the boss of wagyan land. Came close, but it's hard if japanese isn't your native language.

I actually dont think they were the origin of the game, i feel like from a search i did many years ago, your version posted looks closer to the original that may have been a freeware game that they either got the publisher rights to release as a retail game OR its a "enhanced" version they released since the one they did, your character is a wizard in a hat, id have to dig my copy out and try it again. So there may be a freeware version you played that they then did an improved version of, but the fact you mentioned eGames means it could be the same version, but it looks nothing like that image you posted and has a different subtitle (maybe different regional changes?)
