Dude nobody cares. It could be tossed out in handfuls for free at sporting events and it still wouldn't be worth buying (or at least, catching) for anybody but collectors, because it'd still be a bad game that would only take up space in the owner's home and collect dust and be annoying.

Amen to this. And yet, just finishing the game at all is pretty easy. That's how it is with a lot of SNES games.

Although the people saying Earthbound above might be joking, I guess there may be some RPG-type games that are actually difficult to completely conquer without a guide. Ogre Battle seems like a good candidate for that, and some games that only came out in Japan could be candidates. Also I guess some people say The 7th Saga is genuinely difficult?

And there are probably some mediocre Mario-style games by weirdo European companies or whatever that are really tough, but hardly anybody would have played them.
