Anyone else have a situation like this? If so how did you decide what to keep. I sold my Saturn with Panzer Dragoon 2 and Kings Field already because i can't justify owning them.

>> No.8572668

You getting kicked out or something? What's the situation where you "have" to get rid of the collection?

If you're selling the collection for quick cash you plan on spending right away, it's a waste. You should put that money into savings, which probably isn't what you want to hear if you're in an emergency.

Not true. I collect Pokemon Crystal carts, have for a decade, but I don't really care for it. But it's paid off. I collect them strictly as an investment to fund another interest. I have several things I do this with.

For me it's just a way to use my knowledge of trends and prediction leading to making money on collectibles which I have no real interest in. Sell all games, keep all consoles and controllers, buy flashcarts and ODE's. You drop a lot of excess plastic, and you not only have access to all your old games, you now have access to all the games. It's what I did, and I've never looked back.
SNES collection around 2010(my old games, last one bought around 2001, all US):
>FF6
>Super Metroid
>Zelda A Link To The Past
>Super Mario RPG
>Earthbound
>Donkey Kong Country
>Donkey Kong Country 2
>NBA Jam TE
SNES collection today:
>Super Everdrive
>NBA Jam TE(Still can't find a fucking buyer, even though the battery still works and still has my initials with a 32-0 record that unlocks the extended rosters and rookies)
If it wasn't for the fact NBA Jam TE is fun and I might actually find a buyer one day, I'd throw it in the trash.

That wasn't an issue/option for me as it was 1990 and prices were very different and there was no craigslist, etc. But even now, unless you have a massive collection or some exceptionally valuable stuff it's not worth the hassle.
