Legend of Zelda I guess.
My first time playing was through animal crossing, by then nobody was crowdsourcing solutions for how to clear the game, and I didn't have a PC in my room, so on my limited internet time, I never once thought to stop looking up hentai and look at a guide for the game.

A nice solid three weeks of trial and error and 700 deaths and it became one of my favorite games of all time. Really put my critical thinking skills to work trying to figure out what the clues the old men gave me meant or how the item I got in each dungeon could help.

Man i spent months playing the demo out of dark cloud 1 and never ever it came into my mind to ask my parents if i'd buy the actual game instead i tried to escape the demo world by trying to find a possible hidden gap to free myself outside xD

I got the nes game for my birthday. Unfortunately, the arcade archives version of Ice Climber on the switch is better as it comes with extra stages and special stages every time you beat 8 levels. I'm ranked 30 something in the world on that version, and its kinda fun to be able to get a high score like that when a decent amount of people play that version.
