You guys who post that quote, you know OP, I don't know if you've ever actually played this, but the whole modern day game community, seem to be under the impression that this game is some type of joke, poorly translated and bad. You have no idea how many people I've seen bitch about this game.

This is one of the BEST FUCKING BEAT 'EM UPS IN THE HISTORY OF THE GENRE. One of the most addicting, on par with Turtles in Time for it's replayability and one of the few early gen Beat 'Em Ups where there was a real definition in character strengths and weaknesses, each one possessing his or her own unique talents.

So, OP, if you haven't played this game, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed, get some bros together and try and play together, via netplay or offline, it's still super fucking fun.

I'd just like to chip in and say I got the virtual version on PS3... big mistake. You get unlimited continues and you can't disable that. It ruins all of the fun because there is no challenge

>Unlimited Continues
>Beat 'em Up

There is virtually no vindication in beating it then. You might as well use your computer and use Save states or unlimited coins.

The Sports Zone put up a flier for this fucker right as me and my friends were losing our kick on X-Men, got so hype.

A month before they got their cabinet, someone purchased their lease and turned it into a Sports Bar

>tfw No under 18's allowed

I still, to this day, have never played on one of these, and they canceled their order, selling all of the other cabinets, keeping two pinball machines and the pool table.

Name one beat em up that does not have infinite continues.

If you want to stop playing, then stop putting in quarters. ie, stop hitting start.

Have any of you guys see the cartoon this game was based on? It's weird as hell seeing Wolverine talk with Monterey Jack's voice.

In the arcade version of renegade you cannot continue. You have to beat it on a single credit. You only have one life but can get a 2nd life at 30,000 points.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2CJU4p4Cmc

It came out before double dragon and is way harder. Strict time limit plus enemies on later levels can kill you in a single hit.

When you beat the final boss (who has a gun) the game loops and gets harder. Back in the day I could beat the boss but rarely made it far on 2nd loop.

There is no argument.
