I have a lot of nostalgia for the first generation of really usable emulators. Magic Engine, KGen, ZSNES, Nesticle, and maybe even a little for Genecyst and UltraHLE.

Callus is another one with an actual interface. Also by Bloodlust Software.

ZSNES is my biggest nostalgia. And I totally forgot about using Magic Engine, thanks for reminding! IIRC I moved to Ootake because I had some problems with ME.

ZSNES was my first emulator so I have a lot of nostalgia for it,

What's the best plain old gameboy emulator? Configurable 4 tones would be nice but don't need gameboy "color" support. Apparently I used to use VBA but it shits itself with high framerate monitors.
