You should play it, it's rough around the edges but still my favourite in the genre all these years later. Great game.

Try capping your framerate to your monitor's refresh rate in kentie's launcher, this is a fairly common issue for some reason.

For a lot of people, the default renderer either appears far too dark or refuses to display in 32 bit colour, instead reverting to 16. If you can get any of the renderers working in a way that doesn't look washed out or stupidly dark, just go with that.
