I wish they would make more games like Castlevania, but with HD visuals. The design paradigm is near perfect. Tightly designed, shorter games that actually challenge the player. I feel like arcade style games are superior in almost every way to the bloated experiences being sold as games now.

The difficulty curve is a little ridiculous. Took me days to complete the final levels. Maybe it's just because I'm an old fart, but it's the most difficult game I've ever completed. It makes Devil May Cry 3 and Megaman 1 look easy in hindsight.

I think SOTN has the best music, aesthetics, and lore. But I really love picrel and might actually enjoy it a little more.
