the issue is that with the high part being in a very odd time signature, the entire piece cant technically be looped at all, as the parts dont actually line up until the very end. as i understand it, music is always last in line for memory, so it seems funny that theyd leave something that takes up AS much (or more) space as the battle theme, but is only used once in pokemon mansion, in like that

or is there a way to loop only certain channels, while playing another in an odd time sig against it? ive never seen how GB trackers work at all, but as i understand trackers, theyre very rigid and grid based. if you want to have highly complex polyrhythms, that needs to be input manually. and that can mean a song that, while only 1min in length, could easily take up 4-8x as much memory as another similarly sized song which again, is a big no-no when dealing with carts as small as GBCs

cant answer sadly, as ive never used that one before either
but im with the other anon in that trackers, while oblique at outset, all tend to be very similar. so having experience with really any tracker will immediately save you hours of "wtf am i doing?", as all you really need to learn is that ones specific quirks/effects/modulations

in the case of MOST opensource trackers, theres usually a buncha nerds who have whole video tutorial series on them.
so if you cant find any tutorials on LSDJ specifically, but dont wanna jump in the deep end, maybe try another more common tracker like famitracker (NES tracker obv), that DOES have a shitton of documentation around it, to get your feet wet first

You had to be there. The music isn't the greatest but it invokes a lot of nostalgia in anyone who played Pokemon with their friends as a kid. You have to consider that we were also inundated with Pokemon media and advertising: the games, the cartoon, the trading cards, toys, the movies. Battling and trading with friends was the entire appeal of the series for me. My little sister and I kept up with the games and would buy each other the opposite versions so that we could fill up each other's Pokedexes. I tapped out after X and Y, though.

the output sample rate of the gba is the same as the snes, ds and 3ds, 32768hz (dsi not included, the dsi can do 44100hz and sounds much better).
nintendo didn't updated their sound hardware since the snes days.

There's a lot more to sound quality than sample rate.

Probably the hardest the GBC can go. Surprising it can output this and run a semi-competent shmup with a lot of (small) sprites at the same time, its own sound effects not eating into channels of the music too badly at all. Average to decent game, astounding tunes.
