Hi Saturn-chan!

>> No.8430658

I would choose the pad with the select button, Saturn is really gimped by only having Start if you want to use it for emulation or other systems.

are the og ones better than the retrobit ones? i used a retrobit one to play 3s for awhile and i just thought it was ok.

>> No.8430916

>>8430903
Can't speak on RetroBit personally, but from what I've seen around here, the originals are still tops, with RetroBit quality being inconsistent from firsthand accounts. I think it's worth it for the real thing.

The Saturn ( and 6 button genesis) pad is the best dpad ever made.

The 8bitdo is the best Bluetooth pad for classics, but nothing compares to Sega original pads

Much, MUCH better, I fucking Wish I could've used a Saturn pad back when I played my PS every day after school. If anything SEGA were to be considered a 10/10 that would be the Saturn pad.

fuck, ok what's the best repro to use for emu?
Did they ever make that model with the two sticks at the bottom?

then you can get the real thing and mod it with this
https://shop.8bitdo.com/products/8bitdo-mod-kit-for-original-sega-saturn-controller
or you can get a converter of some sort.

I have the m30 coming in, hopefully it gets here tomorrow. I just much prefer the Japanese white version purely for aesthetics so I'll have a look at the modkit or grab an adapter, thank you.

Saturn by far, however I bought 3 retrobit Saturn controllers and all 3 were fucked:
- Around end 2020 I got a bluetooth one, the D-pad broke after a week
- Around early 2021 I got a wifi one, it slipped from my knee while sitting and landed on the L button which is now permanently stuck (not the plastic, the component is pushed in all the way and I can't get it out)
- Around mid 2021 I got another bluetooth one and the D-pad broke again after a week. I swapped the broken plastic actuator with the one from my wifi model but I'm not good with reassembling things and now it feels really weird so I've just been using a M30 instead, haven't had any issues but it's just not the same feel really. I wish there were more alternatives.

If they had made it symmetrical they could have shifted the d-pad slightly more to the left for a better position under the stick and Then it would've been perfect.
Good luck using the right stick if you got lil bitch hands
