Games with huge replayability? I'm talking about games that rank your playthrough and reward you according to your score
Games that give you new costumes
Or games that add new features for ng+ like a special weapon, a different ending, etc?
I will start:
All Resident Evil games
all Parasite Eve games
all Dino Crisis games
all Clock Tower games
all Fatal Frame games
All Devil May Cry games
All Silent Hill games
Haunting Grounds
Rule of Roses

I don't think either of those. They do keep score, but they are long and once you get A or S (which isn't that hard) you are like MEH.

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
DON'T use W10's own virtual disc app! It will not work.
Don't install under C:\Program Files\ ! This will cause issues.

For SH2, Follow the Enhanced Edition homesite's instructions to the T, and you should be fine.
If you're mega lazy, just unpack the "Bare Essentials" to the game's folder, and you're done! The "Enhanced .EXE" is also the no-CD crack.

For 3 & 4, check the Guide or PC Gaming Wiki.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
I recommend the DuckStation, but most emulators work OK as well.

>Protips
-Play in the release order.
-Start with Normal difficulty! Don't do hard on 1st run (espec. SH2).
-Replaying them all is recommended; tons of replay value.
-Turn down the ingame Brightness setting, for better gamma & colors!
-Leg it, or sneak! No need to kill everything.
-Turning OFF the flashlight can really help w/ stealth!

All fighting games share the core mechanic of the player improving as they gain experience with the game, but Namco's Tekken and Soul Edge games tended to have more meat on them, even if you weren't playing competitively with others.

>I'm talking about games that rank your playthrough and reward you according to your score
That's not what replayability is. That's not what replayability is AT ALL.
Most Retro games are imo strongly replayable
Tales Games with superb gameplay (Destiny for instance)
Team Buddies
Parasite Eve 2
Ridge Racer Type 4
Some Bombeman games
Onimusha games (mostly DoD for me)
The Crash and Spyro games
Mega Man Legends 2 (1 semi because of it's annoying mine structure)
Einhander
Silent Bomber
I would even argue Metal Gear Solid 1
Replayability means the gameplay concept of a game is so enjoyable that you want to replay it out of fun or immediately go over to an NG+. And in that regard
>All Silent Hill games
>all Clock Tower games
Not replayable AT ALL. I love Silent Hill games, but did you ever play any of them? I really don't wanna hit NG+ anytime soon once i finish one. I much rather replay RE3 with some fun handicaps.

>> No.8431983

>>8431958
just accept my definition of replayable and suck my cock
And clock tower has different ending, as well as sh so you want to play it again to see the other endings
sh also has new weapons, while clock tower has some sexy costumes I would fap to

>> No.8432043

>>8431958
Agreed. The literal backbone of vidya was always replayability for me and that includes experiencing joy by just playing it again.
I'm honestly surprised people are actively looking for such games NOW, as far as i'm concerned i wouldn't ever bother with games that don't offer fun in the long run

Tekken and Soul uses to stuff content even if it don't make sense like volleyball mode.

Nowadays you be lucky to have a arcade mode to playthrough.

There was a clear shift in the 00's and onwards towards just consuming, play the flavour of the week game, move on to the next

So "replay value" must equal a different experience. They don't understand the concept of a game being replayable due to how fun it is and getting better at the game. It's just "witness the content"

>> No.8432081

>>8432054
RE has a more fluent gameplay, more crisp controls and enemy interaction that just aged 1000 times better than bonking a random ghoul in Silent Hill with a generic weapon.
There is for instance no SH equivalent of fighting Nemesis with all the different options and occasions RE3 offers you.

>> No.8432086

>>8432064
To be fair though this has always been the consumer behavior of the majority. The people who remain longer in single games and try to get better at them have unfortunately always been few and far between. I know 30 and 40 year olds that tell me they were playing long established franchises like Final Fantasy and Tales of solely for the story. That's such a massive fucking waste.
It was just a matter of time till video games attracted more of that sort of people and force the industry to design games around superfluous features.
