Do you prefer cartridge based or disc based media? What are the pros and cons of each?

Carts easily. Much more durable and don’t require moving parts to use. Of course back in the day, discs offered an obvious advantage. But I also expect my Sega Genesis games to be playable long after my PS2 games

Initially discs offered the highest capacity so it was required for newer games with FMV and red book quality audio, now they're used just because they're cheap to manufacture. Fuck optical media in 2021. Why can't Sony and MS just manufacture small cartridges for their flagship consoles. It works for the Switch and Vita.
