/vr/, i really want lufia 2 for snes, and i'm willing to pay a decent bit of money.

none of the used game stores in my area have a copy, which is unfortunate because, though their price would be higher, i have a few duplicates i could have easily traded in to reduce it.

anyway, i randomly see a copy on amazon in "like new" condition for ~$53 bucks after shipping.

it's the lowest price i've seen in a good while, even for poor condition carts.

should i just go for it before someone else snatches it up?

I found a yard sale last weekend that had like 40 DS games and 20 Wii games and I just about shit. Nothing I really wanted on the Wii, but they had 2 copies of every major Pokemon game released for the DS.
So I grabbed up the pile I wanted, and I asked the older of the two kids how much he wanted for the pile, since he was the only one around at the time. And he tells me $3 each. So I'm like "fuck yeah".
I'm literally in the middle of pulling my wallet out, and his stupid fuck of a mother comes out of nowhere and says "OOOOOHH NO YOU DON'T. You own ME money young man!" She then proceeds to pull out this list she'd made of how much each game was worth on Gamestop's website and tries to jew me out of like $25 each for the games. Her son is standing there the whole time trying to tell her she's not going to get that out of those games, and she just refuses to sell for less.

So I just put them back, tell her I can't do that and leave. And she just stands there looking at me.
If I wanted to pay Gamestop prices, I'd go to Gamestop.

In my opinion, Lufia 2 is worth 50$ for cart only, I paid for a CIB pretty good condition copy for 120$ CND with shipping. I'm glad I did because that game manual art and cover art are amazing to look at. At the moment I am flattening the map to frame it and hang it on the wall. Make sure you put in a new battery so you don't lose your save files when playing.
