I have 200-300 physical games dating from the eighties to this year that are sorted by console and date of obtaining the game. Honestly it has been a few years since my last inventory, so I might be close or past the 400 game mark by now. Probably a hundred or so digital console games between them all, and according to my profile, 470 Steam games, all but maybe ten of those having been gifted to me over the past fifteen years by friends. Bunch of consoles and handhelds as well. Quite happy with it all, although there are a few games I would kill to get in my collection.

I would say at least 50% of what I have right now are games I genuinely like or have interest in. 25% are like recommdations or games that seemed interesting but I had no exposure to. The rest is admittedly padding. I am going for as close to complete NTSC set as possible.

You ain't wrong, though to be fair the GBA came out when I was 12 and that box is all the games I got from 2001 up til new GBA games stopped being available in stores (so closer to when I was 20.) I'd say about half of those were ones that I was actually gifted by my parents/family, but in that regard having divorced parents helped lol
