I used to insert my Atari cartridges slightly crooked to intentionally cause glitches.

I recall it was often done in OoT to cause all kinds of glitches, though I can't remember if I ever did it myself (probably not, I may have been too afraid of fucking something up). This was, of course, before they discovered how to massively glitch it without such measures.

I did somethig similar back in the day. When loading Berks 3 on the C-16, I intentionally stopped the cassette before the game had finished loading. This messed up the rooms and enemy placement and it felt like a new game to me.

Some people in the chiptune community did something like this with their LSDJ carts for gameboy, intentionally corrupting the sav file, created some interesting chiptune-glitch music. I think they just pulled the cart out while it was saving or something.

Did the same with a famiclone and a bootlegs cartridge. It did come with Contra Force and other 3 games, but after tilting it a little, to my surprise, it did change to a Super Mario Bros. hack with sprites that to this day I still have not seen again
