Back in the day, did you have any limited/unique console variations?

I thought I had the Ice Blue Game Boy Pocket. Turned out it was the standard Blue Game Boy Pocket. Other than that, I do still have my European Automobile PS2 with a fiberglass shell.

Folks gave me the Target grape GBA that has Super Mario Advance bundled with it for Christmas when I was a teen. Amazing system, still have and use it to this very day, decades later.

I had that N64, it was the one bundled with DK64, it was the only unique variation console (since the "limited platinum" GameCube became the defacto GC in North America, unless the black Wii counts as a limited model)

I almost chose a limited Pokémon GBC, but Atomic Purple was much more appealing to me.tmvsh

I had a Zelda edition GameCube I think the game box or the little disk was special. The game cube was pretty basic I think.

I had one of the first 100 PS1's sold in the state of New Jersey. My daddy got it for christmas for me and said the guy at funco gave him a certificate that said it

>> No.8378051

I had a limited edition Gameboy SP with the short-lived “Who Are You?” slogan written in graffiti letters on the outer shell. My dog chewed it to bits when I was 12. RIP Trixie.

I specifically wanted consoles that were "default" color, ie Dark Gray N64, Indigo GameCube, Black PS2, Gray/White Dreamcast, etc. idk, I was weirdly autistic about that.

I had a watermelon N64 I don't know where it is but I still have the controller.

not retro and i don't know how limited it is but i was a shit kid with my consoles so my mom got me one of these. odd thing is the old wii still works, it's just that the gamecube controller part's lid is snapped off and thus dusty but still works. lost skyward sword for bloody years in it too and when i started it back up a few months back, the nunchuck connection died right before the second dungeon, because the wire is ripped and it disconnected. really wish i didn't have autism, and whatever else mental illnesses i probably have. that said, i really like the color scheme.

oh ya know what i think i know why she got me it. like half of my games won't play (got two brawl copies and neither work, galaxy breaks when bowser uses the alien ship, but nigh all my shitty shovelware games run fine) and realistically it's because they're scratched but maybe she thought it was part of the console not reading them.

I had that very same N64. Got it cheap when they were blowing them out and later sold it to a family friend. Later found out it was still in use like 10 years later.

I always wanted the green or the orange N64. Ended up getting the purple one, which is still nice.

I guess the pokemon XD gamecube bundle with the special faceplate. Although I honestly find it cringe, and I've never liked any of the various "special edition" consoles. They always just seem gaudy. Worst offender is definitely that awful pokemon N64. Friend of mine had that, thing is butt-ugly and I will never understand why people go nuts over it now

Got pic related cause my family was poor and we couldn't get a n64 til it was near the end of its time.
I don't even like gold, it was just what color they had. Still have it stored somewhere.

I would think that version would be rare. I worked 3 years in video game retail back in 2004-2006. I saw SO much back then and never saw the gold 64. I knew about it we never had one come in on trade. All of the other colored variants but never the gold.

I didn't. But a year ago I bought an used Jungle Green N64 from ebay. I expected something with mild use, scratches, etc., but what I received was in pristine condition. Like it had never been used or only in display. The controller sticks were also just like new. Weird.

I had that one from the DK64 bundle.
Only other one I can think of was pic related. Left it on a plane and realized it right after we got off and my parents wouldn't let me go back for it. I've been thinking about getting a beat up gameboy color and getting one of the cheap knockoff shells.
