>suddenly realize ALL the games I played from this pre-Win95 era were MS-DOS games and I only ever went into Windows 3.1 to use Netscape or do homework
So, I have some catching up to do.
What are some games /vr/ recommends that were EXCLUSIVELY available only for Windows 3.1x and never had any ports to any other OSes? Right now the only game I have on my list is Castle Of The Winds, which is supposed to be really good and I'm going to dive into it tomorrow morning.

also why the FUCK is FANFARE.WAV sound effect missing from my Windows 3.11 install?

One of the better things 4chan has produced has been the DOS and Win 3.1 packs. Here's the 3.1 games pack, including the 2 best Win 3.1 games, Castle of the Wind 1 and 2.

Why do fags do this? This is how you end up going to jail for piracy, by making a case you were actually profiting from it.

>not my problem when it happens
That's right, but a problem for whoever is taking those donations to pirate old games nobody would otherwise notice or care about. They seem like typical nu-internet zoomers who need to make money from their "work". When you're making any sort of money from copyright infringement you need to take it seriously and not get caught. That's how you get serious lawsuits and criminal charges, not just a letter from your isp.

Exactly, if you're making money off copyrighted material you need to engage in money laundering. I'm sure most pirates know this, but social media namefags who make stuff like fangames run into trouble.

Friendly reminder that Oldgames made a good dosbox installer, and it works out of box with DosBOX ECE and X, and even supports Soundfonts if you have the mpu drivers.
