I don't "hate" any level in my favourite games, but the secret level of Duck Tales 2 was a disappointment. You have to go out of your way to find it and what you get is a reskin of another level, boring!

Prison Lane was pretty cool, I replayed it a lot just for shooting and blowing up shit. Mission Street is okay, though enemy jet planes sending rockets are annoying as fuck

Can agree on Eternal Engine, but at least that level had some kickass music.

After all the gorgeous and mostly open-space levels you've been to you have to go through a samey-looking dungeon where it's too easy to get lost. And the music isn't helping either. Definitely my least favorite level from this game.

It's pretty obvious that Sonic, Knuckles, and Eggman were the primary characters before they came up with the idea to split the story. So they get most of the good levels, while the other guy gets the cheap asset flips. I think Mission Street was probably just an Eggman level they gave to Tails to help balance out the story a bit.

Welcome to the terrordome. I don't think I've ever beaten this with anything besides another Escudo Pikes Peak, maybe once with a Cultus Pikes Peak. But RWD or FWD cars are entirely lost in this race and the only AWD car with similar power to weight as the ones mentioned above is the Skyline HKS Drag which can't use dirt tires and doesn't go around corners anyway, all the others are simply too slow for these cheatermobiles. Maybe one day I'll beat it with another car but it'll have to involve serious cheesing and wallriding.

Thank God. Gamma' stages in SA1 were 30 seconds long and you just rush through and hold aim lock, then shoot.

SA2 levels are more focused on exploration and chain combos, so timer could be annoying as fuck (IT IS, in timed extra missions). Rings just replenish your health bar a little, while health bar itself prevents your clunky mecha from kicking the bucket after one hit.

I never got every emblem in both games as a kid. In SA1 I had like 3 emblems remaining, and I couldn't find one of them (because they hid it in some random underground spot on Station Square; years later, I dug it out by pure accident). In SA2, I just couldn't get all A ranks on later stages, Final Rush/Chase and Crazy Gadget were the assest of video game ass levels.

I'd say getting all emblems in SA1 is easier because there are less of them and requirements to get them aren't that high. SA2 wants you to clear everything perfectly including mini-games. Training Chao to win races takes a lot of time and effort.

To this day I'll never understand why Taris gets so much shit while Dantooine is right after and so much worse, to the point where dozens of PLEASE GOD SKIP TARIS patches got made. Taris is a varied environment, a tiered city with a number of things to do, combat is at its cleverest because you aren't crutching with force powers and you are using items and strategies to possibly win at low-ish levels. There's the rich people town with corrupt Sith everywhere and the Sith base, the lower level with an all out gangwar over podracing happening, the lower-lower level with its ruins and zombie apocalypse. Fucktons of Star Wars planets are completely one-dimensional and Taris is one of the best at avoiding it.

DANTOOINE is the fucking worst place in Star Wars. Dantooine is a pointlessly expansive set of dull lifeless plains covered in repetitive dog-lions. The thoughtless copy-paste jedi council drags their feet over handing you your powers and forces you to walk the length of the map more the once (and act like retards if you are showing obvious evil tendencies). The sole interesting thing is a 15 minute murder mystery.

I am assuming that by "SA2 Battle" you mean Sonic Adventure 2 in general. I played original DC version as a kid so I'll answer on that behalf.

Sonic Adventure 2 was the single most awesome thing in my teenage life. It was so brilliantly, anime-aesthetically autistic, it kicked me in the balls and made me knee to its level, making me a die-hard Sonic fan, which I am to this day, despite constant Sega attempts to destroy that bond between me and franchise. (I should note that SA2 wasn't my introduction to Sonic franchise, I played 2, 3 and 3D Blast years before.)

I didn't even know English properly when I played it, so I could only understand like, parts of the storyline and still got hooked. I just loved everything: the way levels are designed, the exploration, the aesthetics, music, chao gardens, all of it. It was an essence of things I loved in video games.

Well, maybe I didn't like everything, certain things were definitely super frustrating, but I took it as granted. I think the large reason why I didn't hate treasure levels or mech shooting is because I got used to it from the very beginning, I just played the game as is and had fun.

SA2 is one of those "hit or miss" games, it either hits the spot for you or just doesn't click at all. Like pineapple pizza, some people like it and some don't.

Also I fucking hate Battle. They took DC game and made it worse, but because of Dreamcast failure and people jerking off to Nintendo universally, it always considered to be "main" version. Even Steam has a Gamecube port.

The most blatant example: Security Hall.

It was one of the levels in DC version I replayed the most, it was just too enjoyable for me.
I can't stand it in Gamecube version because they changed safe opening mechanic from just "Drill Kick near the door" to "Find some bullshit switch and rip your ass to open it"

Also, while most of people that I've asked denying it, I think some changes were made to Aquatic Mine level. In Gamecube version there's always one emerald piece in a mine shaft full of annoying ghosts, 9 times out of 10, while in DC version it can be in various places.

Audio in Gamecube version is completely broken and lighting in some stages is worse, Lost Colony is almost pitch dark while in DC version it's just mildly dark.
