I have mixed feelings about the cut beta pokemon. Some are genuinely cool designs that I'd have loved to see be officially added, but others were probably smart to cut. With a few exceptions, most of the early designs for Pokemon are worse than the finished product (though some like Remoraid, Octillery, Delibird, etc. were better in beta).

Maybe a handful of them, but I'd prefer seeing them as fantasy characters WITHIN Pokémon. Like, Beta Porigon 2 is just a famous computer mascot in their world.

Unfortunately, Game Freak has a ridiculous insistence that they'll never use cut content, so we'll never see them ever again. Hell, they INSIST that Tyranitar isn't the same as this guy because it means that they used a Pokémon from a group of rejects.

Official stance would be that modern Leafeon has nothing to do with that Betamon if they're forced to acknowledge it at all. Again, it's incredibly obvious that they do reuse ideas, but the company line is that all official Pokémon were first created exactly as they are with no rough drafts.
