Why do you think so many people remember this game after all this time? What set it apart from other shooters at the time for it to still have a following?
I remember it was near the end of the ps2/xbox's life cycle, well near new gen, and that it was made by a dev that focused with racing games. Also "Gun Porn" being used as a description for this game, and a Black skin in Burnout Revenge when you reach a milestone. I also remember Black Ops and bf4's cutscenes being similar to this game, and during EA's time where they liked to use overly produced live action cutscenes for some weird reason.
It's been forever since i've played it.

I played Black on release (and still have my original copy) and I'll be honest: It was shit. Overhyped and characterless late-gen game just like Killzone.

Well, okay, shit is going a bit far, it wasn't shit, but it was pretty boring. It felt exactly like all those mediocre console CoD/MoH games, the only unique thing it had going is that "modern" shooters weren't really common then.

I would have given it like a 6 or 7 out of 10 back in the day. Worth renting for a weekend but not amazing. I suppose it was pretty decent by console standards, but PC had way better to compare to, and by the time the 360 came out, so did consoles.
