WHO
THE
FUCK
DECIDED TO SWAP X AND O?!
IN WHAT WORLD IS X A SYMBOL TO CONFIRM
AND O TO DENY?!
I just want to throw that motherfucker down the stairs ONCE! JUST ONCE!
I can emulate and swap the buttons on the PS TV to confirm with O on PSOne games, but any other gen beyond that i have to do the mental gymnastic again and get not-used to it
Not to mention that not in every game it swaps the ingame function of those two inputs.
Anybody got a good workaround for this problem america has brought upon us?

Why wouldn't x be a confirm?
When you check a box you typically do it with x.
I think you interpret it as crossing through something, but as a symbol I would more ask myself what a circle has to do with accepting/ confirming.

The only exception being Nintendo stuff, because of how A/B and X/Y are reversed compared to the standard. Always find that incredibly annoying. Did you draw a box around a game that you wanted in a catalog and then drew a cross over it as a kid?
Or did you fucking circle it?

this lol
it's one of the best shibboleths against zoomies

another good one (since latter post used Burnout as a pic) is to ask them what button the used to press to accelerate in their favorite racing games as a child.
If they say R2/RT, slap 'em over the head.

It was either X, or the right stick if you were "serious".

this is the retro games board. games were made by the japanese until the lards decided to throw ungodly amounts of cash at the industry to turn it into stupid fucking interactive movies. if “no one cares” about what the japanese did, then what the hell are you doing here, you silly silly cheddarsphere?

You’re a dumb fuck. Both Saturn and Dreamcast had analog triggers and racing games used them to accelerate/brake. Maybe you’re not a zoomer, but just a dumbass poser in general.

the n64 was shit and lost, get over it
Saturn was good but sega was retarded and nobody wanted to work with them anymore
PS1 was easily the superior console of that era, thank god Sony was there to salvage that gen
same story with 6th gen really
