Got a new Playstation 2 recently, only have Big Red One Collector's Edition, many memories from that game, i consider it the best. On another note i wanna finally get more into racing games and it seems Playstation 2 is the best era for them, plan on getting Gran Turismo and others along the way.

Ps2 looks best on a 480i crt. I feel like filters get 240p looking right on modern displays but anything 480i still looks great

This is as good a thread as any, so I'm gonna ask for some help. I've been playing Maximo Ghosts to Glory on ps3 and on pcsx2, and I'm encountering a gamebreaking control bug. It happens on both versions, regardless of what controller I use (I've tried ps4 and ps5 controllers), and what basically happens is when I'm moving with the analog stick after a few seconds Maximo starts walking instead of running, regardless of how hard I press forward or whatever direction I'm going. The rest of the time, while he's running, there's a sort of stutter every few frames where his walking animation interrupts his running one for less than a second, causing his movement to be jittery and hard to manage. It doesn't sound that bad, but it's gamebreaking because it makes platforming completely unreliable and when I'm running up to engage with an enemy he'll stutter and start walking which inevitably results in me losing control and taking damage. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Can someone help me fix this?

Finished Sub Rebellion, now I’m playing Seek and Destroy. Having a blast. My tank is a high speed death machine with a chainsaw for a barrel that shoots cartoon bombs. I can fly just well enough to drop dozens of bombs on enemies below.

I’m currently stuck in the open ocean mission. Hitting these little helicopters is hard as fuck

Maybe increase the analogue sensitivity if pcsx2 allows that. I had the same problem with my old PS4 controller. A lot of older 3d games need the stick to be pushed all the way to the edge for your character to run, so a slight issue with the stick can make it so you can't run at all. This doesn't seem to be as prevalent with modern games though.
