am I the only one repeatedly filtered by this game? There's hardly any challenge with enemies or bosses, but I always hit a wall in progress because I'm lost as fuck. I never needed a guide for any other castlevania game but this is so overwhelming I don't even know where to start looking in a guide. Basically I've gone to every dead end I can think of in both castles, and every one of them has a gate to my progression, the rainbow doors, or not being able to fly/jump higher I have double jump and the crushing stone. Funnily the one crushing stone wall I found just lead to a room I couldn't jump high enough in. I always give up around this point out of frustration and boredom

Gameplay-wise? That's kind of hard, but probably either Richter or Juste.
Lore-wise? I've said so many times before, but Simon, Simon, Simon. Not only is he typically pretty fun to play in own games anyway, but Simon strikes me as just being an honest to God good person who doesn't fuck with things that he shouldn't, doesn't play you to get what he wants even if it's for the greater good, dude doesn't even lash out at people who are deliberately trying to get him screwed over because he recognizes that although what they're doing isn't right, there's more at stake than on the surface, you know? Dude even prays for Dracula at his grave in the end, seeing that he'll probably come back, he'll probably still be an ass, but maybe for once, maybe at some point, that'll change.

Why didn't Death or the Twins ever bother Eric and Vincent, anyway? It's not like there was anything to stop the latter from killing off Vincent and hell, they were probably responsible for biting him in the first place, and the former actually wanted Jonathan and Charlotte to survive long enough to off Brauner.

In fact, why the hell didn't Death off the Twins when they down and couldn't do anything? Letting Jonathan unlock Vampire Killer seems real dumb, albeit it isn't like there weren't other weapons to choose from, and those options would probably also work, lore-wise. I just think it would've made things easier for him and Dracula in the long run.
