Did any datahoarders back up vpinball before it shut down? There’s an archive backed up from June 2020 but it’s missing almost a year’s worth of added content.

Also, pinball general.
Post your favorites, virtual or actual machines.
Post what you think is the most underrated machine.
Post your experiences with the different tables, your preferences, your highscores and your strategies.
Which era of pinball do you like most?

I fucking hope so.

I know visual pinball is niche but I find it hard to believe nobody around here obsessively downloaded everything.

I think Time Machine might be one of the best underrated tables. Wonderfully retro-futurist, incredibly 80s, original non-IP design, all makes it fun and unique, and the gameplay has a pretty good flow with interesting time-travel mechanics to get multiball. I used to play this at a local arcade a lot.

My favorites would probably be Funhouse and Cirqus Voltaire. However, I've only played digital versions of them.
Someday I hope to correct that.

Why are all the big retail digital pinball games run by retards?

I'm still looking for Time 2000 (Atari) and Speakeasy (Bally). Couldn't find them anywhere and they're not in the archive. I checked.

I downloaded a torrent for visual pinball + vpinmame back then and it is backed up somewhere in the stacks of DVD+/-R discs. It was from back in the 2000s, so that 2020 one is probably more recent. Once this chip shortage causing computer part pricing spike is over, I might get to putting together a machine to enjoy this stuff again.

You have played Zaccaria right? It's the only one worth your time, VPX everything else.

>> No.8316705

>>8315038
I like Zaccaria but the tables all have an odd clunky flow to them. Nothing really has smooth gameplay. I think it’s because even the modern tables feel like a continuation of 70s table design concepts.

It's funny when people called Bride of Pinbot "The Machine", even though it's technically correct.

time machine woulda been perfect if star warp didn't exist and ramps didn't spot targets. maybe having ramps only spot targets for the first multiball would've worked; having star warp letters work like king's ransom letters in black knight 2000 would've been interesting, too. it's too much a one-shot game but i love everything else about it otherwise

>>8314385
the ramps on corvette feel so good to shoot. they have no right being as good as they are
