One of the best game libraries ever. So many fun games and a wide variety of genres.
The Gameboy Advance is underrated. Discuss.

Many games are still fun to play, like Boktai, Metroid Fusion or Mega Man Zero.
It had a lot of shovelware, and a lot of them with horrible music like the shovelware on Genesis, but the highs were really high.

Besides that i agree with OP, right now i am replaying Golden Sun Book 1 and later plan on doing Book 2, also I am tryin to unlock Pyoro 2 in Wario Ware Inc. after that I may go and replay play all the 2D Zelda games, maybe I will give Rythm Heaven another shot, the game is great but I suck at Rythm games.
Great console, no original Mario game though.

Screen fucking sucks, but the bright and vibrant colors and style on a proper TV look awesome.
Nintendo always takes a little shit on something that could be nearly flawless. It's a running gag for the company. With the GBA, they could have invested $20-30 more on the screen and had both battery AND quality.

It isn't underrated.
The library just wasn't that good and there were serious droughts at times.
I remember having played almost all the good games and regularly walking through the GBA corner hoping to find something new.
That said, Advance Wars, Golden Sun and Metroid were pretty awesome back in the day.

There were quite a few dogshit ports though.

>> No.8262335

It genuinely doesn't have that many great games. Once you've played all the well known classics, there just isn't any "hidden gem"; and any GBA thread confirms this by having people just cite the classics over and over.

Really into the River King games, Harvest Moon, Survival Kids (both are great), Shantae, both Mario Golf and Tennis if they don't count as ports since the RPG aspects are pretty novel, DQM 1 and 2, Wario Land games I hear are great. Would say you're missing one of the Zeldas but I imagine you don't like Oracle of Ages which is fair. Ghost Babel is great, the Hamtaro game was cute fun, and I could go into mongames, but I like a bunch of JP stuff, so I'm not sure if you'd want to count that. The Pokemon Puzzle League game is great, but I do like that people have been recovering the lost Panel de Pon stuff hidden in it.
I've got a lot more I can list, especially with all the fan translations and imports, but if I keep going, it'll just take room in the thread. If you like your GBA games, that's fine. I do too, I just like GBC more

You know Damn well a lot of those games are shit and you are coming from a place of pure nostalgia bias. The Gameboy versions of shantae suck. DQM has superior sequels on other hardware. You're citing warioware in a way that shows you haven't played them, which shows your grasping at straws and talking out of your ass. Makes me think you probably never even picked up shit for the GBA, probably only played minish cap and then got mad at the lack of mario titles.

This seems like really obvious bait, which sucks cuz I wouldn't mind people disagreeing and thinking the GBA has a better library. I grew up with the GBA and got my GBC stuff after, but have your (you). If you want to leave the baiting though, I'm always down to hear about more games for the GBA.

I love the first party support, but the amount of import friendly games were great, too. If you hae a flashcart or something, check out the recent translation of Samurai Kid. Another cool one are those lotcheck games like Pokemon Picross or the original Gimmick Land proto for GBC. Wild stuff
