FF Legend II was the first "Final Fantasy" game I ever played, totally loved it. I know now that it isn't really Final Fantasy, but I didn't then, and it got me into the series.

This trilogy should be played by new players backwards (3 > 2 > 1) for best game experience.
Good series, originally encountered as a Pokemon bootleg called Pokemon Legends, did anyone else encountered that shit hack?
I got a copy of ff2 and ff3 but only latter one works. First game sure has creepy music.

Same. I was so lost. My parents didn't let me get TV consoles but just GB. I was jonesing for FF after playing FFVII at my buddy's house. Good game, but very different somehow.

At least it's closer to FF than FF Adventure is. FF 2 in particular plays like FFL 1 and 2.
