I’ve had this game since I was a kid but could never beat it, every few years I go back and get a bit further but give up.

Last year I got to the end of the third temple and stopped.

Should I go back and beat it once and for all bros? Will beating it once and for all fix my soul?

do it fast before your cart fails. N64 cart rot is real and advancing rapidly on many collections.
Dont think MM will ever be decomped like OoT either

Isnt it just a battery you have to replace and that's it?

Third dungeon is the worst and a bjg hurdle to get over in MM. The next dungeon and getting up to it is comfy as fuck and my favorite section of not just MM but every Zelda game literally ever.

I am in the exact same boat but stop shortly after I get the Goron mask and get filtered by that temple+time mechanics.

care to explain why my save files no longer work on my copy of Super Metroid?

It's definitely a game worth experiencing at least once, and no playthrough/LP will give you that satisfaction of figuring it out yourself. I remember being stumped around Ikana Valley and going to EB Games or whatever with my dad at the mall and getting the player's guide to figure out what to do. I was more mesmerized by the official art inside, but also felt daunted by the weird cryptic you had to do for some shit like the heart piece grottos you had to play the four area songs to get them.

No, the game sucks. There is a reason why you give up every time. Don't feel forced to go through it because it's a meme game.

MM has FlashRam instead of battery back up.

>>8234991
Replace the battery. SM does have battery back up.

How's the GameCube collection?

The water part of the game gets a little complicated, but you're missing out if you don't go further. You'll likely enjoy the nexr part, the graveyard.

It's good.

There's nothing meme-like about it. It's Ocarina's sequel, and it expands on a ton of things OoT did while streamlining others in a really fun way. Play the Song of Time in reverse if the game is becoming too frantic for you.

that last temple and shit is fairly, not-fun

So MM should last a few more years?

yeah, it's really good.

>expands on things OoT did
read: shoves more of the same into a less refined package. shit overworld, 4 dungeons, no alternate dungeon orders, swords looked gay, meaningless side quests abound, bat shit retarded story.

might be misremembering or mixing it up with something else, but wasn't both ocarina and majora a prone to freezing on that collection?

>> No.8238167

>>8238109
Some people seem to think the games' stability is affected by whether or not rumble is enabled. I recently played it on a Wii through Nintendont with a classic controller, so had rumble disabled, and played through the entirety of OoT and half of, and then dropped Majora's Mask, and it didn't freeze once. YMMV, but it works on my machine.

>no alternate dungeon order
as a kid the only thing i remember doing out of order was the Shadow Temple without the eye. I guess i didnt know it existed.
