I can't remember 2 anymore, but I went back to play 1 recently and found that it's extremely barebones once you get past the novel use of an analogue-controlled tongue. The platforming sections are not cleverly designed at all and just seem to exist solely to pad out the entire game. Unless you find navigating narrow ledges and jumping from moving platform to moving platform in square rooms with little distraction entertaining, you probably won't like it. If you want to play a platform game with a novel control scheme you might like Rocket Robot on Wheels, which IS cleverly designed, although it is a collectathon which you may not like.

1 is basic, but worth a playthrough. The multiplayer is surprisingly good.

2 is a more fleshed out experience. Not a fan of the aesthetic compared to the first. It feels kiddier. But the mechanics are more polished and accessible.

They both have an emptiness to them. There are stretches where there isn't a whole lot to do. If you can get into the atmosphere, it can be really enjoyable just exploring. Otherwise, you'll get bored fast. Though some sections will have you fuming with how deceptively challenging they can be.

Give em both a shot. The offer different things.

Very unique and fun way to implement the 3D stick.
It's a shame later 3D games weren't as experimental. Everything feels very homogenized, back then each game had its very own distinct mechanics.

What's the multiplayer like?
