Best ever PS1 games?

I need something to play on my PSP, and i was a N64 kid so i don't know of that many PS1 games.

Tales of Eternia has a PSP port if you like old school action-JRPGs. That said, if you live in the uS, importing a copy will be damn expensive (with the potential in earlier prints of the PSP version having save data corruption). Gameplay was pretty damn good for it's time.

You should also get the essentials like Spyro 1-3 and Crash 1-3 if you enjoy platformers.

Best videogame ever made. If you could only purchase one PS1 game make sure it's this one.

I can't remember the name of a game, if anyone can help me. It was an birds eye view of a futuristic plane that you flew (player one was red and two was blue I think) and you could get powerups upgrading the way your shots worked. I know there was a mode where you could be a black and white almost 4bit ship shooting at enemies and there was a couple bosses. The mode almost resembled an old gameboy game. I'm pretty sure the name was Japanese or something around there, maybe starting with an "r"

Metal Gear Solid.

I too was an N64 kid, but kept around a PS1 entirely as a Final Fantasy machine.

FF Anthology, Chronicles, and Origins are kind of pointless now because emulators, but be sure to pick up FF7 thru FF9.

If you've ever enjoyed a JRPG in your life, play Suikoden II.

In my opinion that game is pretty much the pinnacle of that genre.

I found my old portable PS1 and Gekioh. I'm playing it now and I think I shit myself from the nostalgia of long car rides in the back seat with my little brother playing this game.

The Oddworld games are the best games for the PS1 - in my opinion.

Oddworld: Abe's Odysee
and
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

Exoddus is personally my favorite game of all time.

I barely noticed no one recommended Mega Man Legends 2, so I'll recommend it because it's fucking good. Use control style d with a dual analog controller so you can be able to play the game like a TPS platforming hybrid.

Medievil

It's an excellent action/adventure/platformer whatever.

Plus it makes use of that Playstation's weird geometry rounding system to create creepy and surreal environments.

PLAY IT.

>> No.820189

Klonoa (puzzle platformer)
Medievil (action adventure)

You can't really play Tony Hawks on a PSP, though. It doesn't have the L/R 2 buttons, so it's rather fiddly to play.
