You mean worse.
>more than 3X the CPU clock speed of a PS1 yet most games run at lower framerate
>low texture memory and forced AA making the games look blurry
>cartridges have much lower capacity and far higher manufacturing cost, not to mention the nintendo tax on top of it
>not even 1/10 of the PS1's library size
>only a couple dozens or so of legitately good games
>what considererd as the "best" games are nothing but collectathon shit and boring linear adventure puzzle games for 8 year olds and mentally stunted manchildren

F-Zero X is still fun.

It's boring as shit. The only fun racing games exclusive to the N64 are the Rush games.

alright faggots, listen here because I'm about to give you the straight dope: the truth is, if all you care about is having as many games to play as possible, the PS1 wins by default. there is no contest in terms of sheer quantity and variety, and there are probably more passably good games on PS1 than there are games in total on the N64. with that said, this has nothing to do with the experience of actually owning either console. in reality you're probably going to invest significant time in maybe 10-30 games on a platform unless you're some mouthbreathing retard that has nonlife whatsoever. with that in mind, the N64 affords the better experience. the 25 or so games it has which are actually worth buying are among the best ever made. combined with the fact that it's much more durable than the PS1 and has superior multiplauer features, it's a better overall value, especially if you have other systems to play. the top PS1 games just don't compare to the N64's best offerings.

Nah PS1's best games are better than N64's best games
