good solid game, with a good plot, easy controls, and very fun to play. The cel-shaded graphics might not be your thing, but the CGI cut scenes are really well done

Seconded, has a PC version too.
Avoid sequels (marvel ultimate alliance) they are really dumbed down and basically sucked all the fun out.
Also I may be stating the obvious but spider man 2 (movie) is pretty good.

The sequel has a pc version, the first one does not. And for whatever reason, in Activision'infinite wisdom, they made the pc version of Spiderman 2 an entirely different game. It's worth noting that this is the only Activision Spiderman game to have done this.

The PC version shouldn't even be mentioned. It's not just a different game, it's an incredibly bad game. Last time I tried to played it again, I felt sorry for anyone who got fooled into buying it thinking they were getting the good game everyone talks about. Just imagine that happened to you.

Is it better or worse than the Hulk 2003 tie-in game.

I loved both the movie and the game. The move for its fresh tragic take on hulk, and the game for employing a lot of cool things from the comics. Also the art style.

It's like NBA Jam turned into a Beat-Em Up, which is surprisingly good- unlike the SNES/Genesis version which tried to be Mortal Kombat turned into a sidescroller... with disastrous results.

Much better. Not that the 2003 game was awful it just lacked variety and was very linear. Ultimate Destruction is the spiritual predecessor to Prototype from 2009, same devs.

I'll have to play these games some day. I played the last movie tie-in (PC version, port of the PS2 version) and it was pretty ok despite being a subpar version of the game.
