It's an option, yes, but at the same time it doesn't make it any better, at least for my standarts. You might call my standarts retarded, what ever, but just so you know, for me, i think GCCX should be available for everyone and therefore it has to be shared as quike and easy as possible. And torrent is just another layer to filter out fags, which means, its no longer an easy and quike way to get it.

It's a pain. The liscencing agreement with the game publishers is for one episode to be broadcast in Japan and released on home video. So any other broadcast is like a completely new thing that has to be re-negotiated from the beginning. You have to do this for every single publisher on the show. Some publishers are obscure as hell.

They didn't actually cut it, they just reduced the volume when the English Narrator spoke. Also someone who was part of the production joined one of the stream chats a while ago and gave some juicy details. Like everything was recorded over the course of two days, the English narrator had to do a cold read, and they didn't have a director so the narrator was totally on his own.

DMC would be an amazing game to challenge on the show, but it's too scary and violent. It's perfect for a DVD challenge. I suspect they're gonna go through all the mainstream survival horror games on home video. RE3 should be next.

Remember, the show is general audience, and many of these games are officially "M" rated even if I personally consider them kind of tame. Silent Hill really doesn't have a lot of violence past "T" rating outside of a few cutscense that are easy to edit around.

That would be part of the fun. If you ignore rank entirely you can use a lot of cheesy tactics for the game.

Doesn't Arino get queasy easily? Motion sickness due to abrupt changes in game perspective is pretty common among the Japanese. I can't imagine them having him play DMC or making an episode out of it. Viewers would get sick, and Arino would have a miserable time and be terrible at the game. It's a great game but a bad fit for the show.

Has Arino ever done a challenge for anything that can be described as an "extreme sports game"? i.e., skateboarding, snowboarding, BMX, surfing, or even motocross, etc.

Now that PS2-era software is eligible for challenges, it has me wondering if Arino might challenge SSX 1. It's a Canadian-made game, but Sony of Japan noticed its development (then for the Dreamcast), liked what they saw, and gave the team PS2 devkits, before the PS2 was even out in Japan. It was released as a launch title in the US, and at the same time in Japan. Famitsu gave it a gold rating and 32/40, which is the highest they've ever given an EA game (at least at the time).
SSX 1 seems to have been at least a slightly big deal in Japan, and it has me hoping Arino might play it, though that's probably just a Pipedream.

>> No.8131634

>>8131419
Not yet, the most 'extreme' he's done are stuff with the power pad like Takashi's Castle and Family Jogging.
He's done a baseball and 2 soccer games in terms of general sports to my knowledge.

>all these people whining about the train n64 game being similar to the ps1 version

Yeah, it's really a port more than anything, and it's kind of a revenge challenge. Keep in mind the eps aired 7 years apart, and only the most die-hard nerds are gonna watch every single episode. Playing two similar games in a series is okay since they space it out so much. Nerds are watching these eps translated so they get them in clumps so they're watching them out of intended order.
