whats the point of the select button? were there even playstation games that used it? seems like pretty dumb to have a "select" button when you can use the d-pad to select stuff anyway....

As a little kid I remember being stuck in this game for like half an hour because I didn't realize select is how you whistle for your dog Max to come over to you.
