Too bad they're bugged. You can hold square and mash the d-pad, each new directional input counts as a new, interruptable reverse attempt. It's basically impossible to lose because literally everything is reversible.

I liked the psx smackdown's (2 in particular) more than no mercy, but the grappling and submissions were more satisfying on the n64. also day of reckoning and hctp were good

i miss the arcade style of the smackdown/SvR games.

the sports sim style that 2K tries to doesn't work because a "proper" pro wrestling sim wouldn't actually play like a sports sim.
