Let's talk games bundled with consoles.
Did you get any cool ones as a kid?
Starting with a classic.

Sure, post pics of the box bundle if you can find it. I love the way bundle boxes used to look back in the day.

I believe my family got us the SMW bundle for christmas but other than that the only pack in title I've ever had was wii sports.

There were so many rumors as a kid where people would say that there was a bundle with Zelda ...Metroid ..starfox, etc. Pretty much that it could be any random game in the box with the console

GB bundled with Tetris
SNES bundled with SMW
N64 2 controller bundle
Costco GC bundle with StarFox Adventures
Costco PS2 bundle with ATV Off-road Fury 2/Jak and Daxter.

Costco was the GOAT cause they would just bundle their own shit in plastic.

I would drool over these in magazines and such, or in the Toys R' Us gaming aisle. There are more, but couldn't find a good collage of them.

Cool!

This is the bundle I got back in the day. Cartoon Classics. One of the better bundles, thankfully.

Lemmings was an absolute gem. Counless hours of fun across a good age range. Was a good version of the game too for visuals and sound.

Deluxe Paint III was (and the range still is even now) my favourite and fondest memories in art and animation. I'd love to see something like it, simple and cut down without bloat, made again so as to introduce newbies and kids to art and animation. It just sat beautifully between simple as pen and pencil and the potential that computers can give you. You could do some very good (for the day) pixel art and animations with it.

Captain Planet - was okay platformer. Not the best but okay. Played it a lot because that's what came with it. Looked nice for the time though.

Bart vs the Space Mutants - not a great platformer on any system but was okayish. Amusing because the Simpsons back then were funny and interesting and this thing had actual animation and sound that was kind of like the TV! MULTIMEDIA WOO

Sometimes the software was bundled in plain white boxes and just black text across them, you still got the manuals though. Depends on where you were in the world and when you bought it. What was nice though was you could recreate any of the art and animations you saw in the games with DPIII bundled if you were good enough.

The TurboDuo came in a bundle that had Ys books 1&2, Gate of Thunder, Bonk 1&2, Bomberman, and Ninja Spirit. It even included 10 coupons for $5USD off any TurboGrafx games and a couple issues of TurboForce. That was an incredible bundle of some of the top games for the system, but not many were interested at the time. I got it plus a few other great titles and additional systems in a bundle when I finally had the funds.

Combat was bundled with my 2600. I liked it well enough.
Super Mario Bros came with my NES. Really damn nice.
Altered Beast was a pack-in with my Genesis. I know people hate on the game, but I like it well enough.
Tetris was included with my Gameboy. Eh, its okay.
Super Mario World was bundled with my SNES. Another classic.
I got the Turbografx-16 later and it came with Keith Courage in Alpha Zones (pretty good) and two other games as a desperation move by NEC. Power Golf (not so good), and Samurai Ghost (decent).

This bad boy. Silver gamecube with Wind Waker. Mine also came with the Zelda promotional disc with the NES games + OOT and MM. No idea if my parents just somehow acquired that for me on Christmas or if they bundled it with the console set in the UK for a brief period. Either way, this + Double Dash made for the best Christmas ever.

I hate myself for not getting this. I have all the games complete in box, but this will undoubtedly elude me forever, cause it has the unfortunate double combo of being a bad selling console that zoomies are obsessed with now for whatever reasons and being the only Mother edition game system. I had a chance to buy it back when all the Mother 3 merch was coming out but my stupid ass couldnt justify importing it since I already had the Famicom edition Micro released stateside and had the retarded mindset back then of "why would I ever need multiples of the same system?" Though I do seem to recall and still do a bit now, that I dont particularity care about the actual design all that much. If it had Mr. Saturn on it or a bunch of the games sprites, that may have gotten me to buy it back then.

Technically, this is probably true somewhere. While maybe not "official", stores like Costco sold system bundles they essentially put together themselves inside a giant blister pack type casing.

I remember they had a bundle of a red GameBoy Color with Pokemon Red and the official players guide and another that was a black N64, Pokemon Stadium and one of those clear purple controllers (completely unrelated to the actual Stadium edition N64 bundle officially released) I seem to remember PS1 bundles as well they did.

I still have the back packing to it somewhere and will post the image if I find it and someone doesnt do it before me, but the NeoGeoPocket Color when its stock was being liquidated in the 2000s, had these bundles you could get in places like EB Games for I think about 99$ that had the system plus 6 games included (sometimes one game would be swapped for another) and also sold an additional blister pack of 4 extra games. Funny thing is I dont think the packaging itself even claimed the actual name of the system and I think made up some shit like you would see on some cheap all in one portal game machine like "Super Color Arcade".

Yeah, the one you posted. My dad came back from a brief holiday once and he bought me that bundle as a present along with Robocop VS The Terminator. I loved both movies and he knew that so bringing that game was extra cool. It wasn't my birthday or anything and I hadn't even asked for a SNES, ever. I wasn't expecting it at all, I was maybe 7 years old. I didn't even know the RVTT game existed and I ended up loving it. It was during summer break, too, so I had nothing to do but chill and play that shit all day. SMW was also one of my childhood defining games, it was magical.

My sister went with him and she also brought me back a gift: the TMNT3 movie. People hate that shit but it's a fun enough movie for children. Of course my dad paid for both but it was made clear that the movie came from my sister lol.

This is definitely the most memorable present I ever got in my life.

We visited Europe in 94 and I was a hyperactive little bastard so my parents bought me a Gameboy to calm me the fuck down and make me sit quietly.

Idk what was in the bundle exactly, Tetris was definitely there, but I think it also had Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening because at the time I didn't know anything about the game (and it ended up being one of my favourites). I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. The bundle may have also had Wario Land but I'm not sure, it's possible I bought that separately.

It's not THAT much of a stretch. Mode 7 was pretty commonly used to make crude 3D effects even in 2D games, and Pilotwings and F-Zero are two early games that showed entire 3D worlds (crude and empty though those worlds were).
