PS1 is the greatest console of all time. The creativity and sheer volume of games being developed is why Sony won that generation. N64 library size felt much smaller and less experimental than ps1, which is why they lost.

what the FUCK is up with people who want to have so many games? I guess its the same people who don't even enjoy playing, they just enjoy the feeling of achievement at having "beat" something. Like "replaying? why? ugh I already beat that shit". These people don't feel any fun when whooping around as mario in 64 or blasting guards in GE. They don't enjoy games.
Aside from the 3 or so games that I like on 64 which i regularly replay and have been for 20 years, I play like 4 pc games and that's it because i fucking enjoy playing, I don't need novelty. That's a different unrelated emotion to enjoying gameplay

I'm not shitting on the n64, I had both n64 and ps1. N64 had many incredible games, games that could compete with ps1s best. PS1 simply had a much bigger library and statistically had many more better games by the volume alone, and it is this aspect which allowed ps1 to domainte.

That game isn't very good though, but the PS1 barely had any rail shooters so you had to settle. Time Crisis and Time Crisis Project Titan shit all over it, though.
