Most likely as a means to curb it, since it's dramatically high in Japan, but I imagine romanticizing it here in this artful scene and others throughout much of their media, seriously only makes teenagers want to do it more.

They only ever show the immediate reactions from people who don't know them, and it's often someone you don't get to associate with, so all it is is some artful shock, that someone looking to make an impact on the world when they feel utterly worthless might consider as an option.

I think the only Japanese media that did suicide any justice was Persona 4. You spent so much time with her, her story was awful, you saw the aftermath of how her close personal friends were impacted, and you had direct impact on the cause. Further, it bears the message that the friend had opportunity to ask, to help, to engage more, and the reluctance to do so led to the negative consequences, so it was a lesson for everyone involved.

3. Boot RetroArch

5. Settings > Recording > As 'Custom Record Configuration' select either 'Custom.cfg' or 'Lossless.cfg' from before
6. Optional: Settings > Recording > Set 'Use GPU Recording' to 'On' if you want to record video after shaders and scaling have been applied - which is not a good idea if the purpose of the recording is to post WebMs on 4chan. File size is too small > image quality too low. (Warning: This is resource intensive and I recommend you leave it turned off.)

These hostages seemed pretty hyped to see her at least..

For a tv license title I found it quite enjoyable albeit a little shallow. Combat could use some more depth and nuance. Shit's kinda hectic. Graphics are nice but it uses this weird rendering technique where only ~1/3 of the screen actually gets refreshed with a new frame is drawn and it's ofc leads to a lot of tearing. Depending on how sensitive one is to this sort of thing it might be a deal breaker or you might barely notice it.

I noticed bc when I convert to WebM I look at recorded footage frame by frame to see what the actual framerate of the game is - no sense in having a WebM with higher fps than the actual game. I had noticed the game suffers from screen tearing before but hadn't realized that it's present every singe frame. Still had fun.

From what I remember playing its main problem is that you have to grind the first couple of mission over and over to get enough money to progress further into the story. After a certain mission there is just no way you made enough dough to just continue onwards with having played every prior mission just once. I recommend cheating your bank balance and just keep going bc fuck that noise. Other than that I found it to be excellent overall.

I think one of my favorite missions was the one where you had to kill all the sharks (or were they dolphins?) with explosives strapped to them while also hunting down pirate gunships and blow up sea mines in an open area. That shit was all out war. But there are other cool ones too that play very differently. Definitely some surprises in there.

On another note, the 3MB file size limit is ridiculous at this point. Come on.

I'm with you there. Now they do say doing 2D sprites takes a lot longer than 3D. But why make it super realistic in a fictional world? Make superior 2D and show off you skill. It's a shame the last PSX games like Rhapsody, Valkyrie Profile, Spectral Force, Summon Night, etc. weren't on Saturn to show it off and were regarded as UGLY by japanese.

You may not know this but in Japanese culture anything that is 2D and moves is seen as for kids and repulsive.

32 bit isn't an aesthetic whatsoever. PC was 32 bit before the recent switch to 64. The GBA is 32 bit. The DS and PSP are 32 bit. The Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube and XBox are 32 bit. The number of bits a system's CPU processes simultaneously has barely anything at all to do with the look of the goddamn games.

Did you actually JUST mean PSX and Saturn graphics? FPU-less 3D hardware, which also includes Jaguar and 3DO? Is it more about the vertex wobble and texture skewing, or is it more about having sharp unblended textures? You actually have to be clear about this.

Everyone wanted a 3D Sonic game like this at the time, so when this appeared it was like a kick in the face and fucking annoyed me. It's like "look how great a full game would have been... But we didn't make one". It's a good demonstration of what Saturn could do with 3D when in capable hands (excellent view distance, nice water effects and vast animated sky), but far too little too late.

>N64 had actual textures

Practically every game here has "actual" textures you tard, and N64 typically had even lower res textures than Saturn/PSX. But that's besides the point because it's a 64-bit console. The clue is literally in the name. Once-a-fucking-gain, this is a 32-bit thread.
