The writing is pure shit. The characters talk like children, and they dump the entire plot on you the second you meet the scientist. So they pretty much kill all the mystery of the game early in. Shame. Could really use a remake.

What a sad state of things. I think we should have our own board. Maybe call us hyper-retros or something I don't know. But I believe the younger generations have different ways of seeing games that are kinda unlike our sensibilities.
The zoomers are still in the reallistic graphic's mindset between other things.
They might be curious about those old games and it's fine but they're completelly clueless about how things were back in the day and it creates such annoying distortions that it makes being here really unsettling.
I really believe IT'S WRONG to call everything that isn't the last game of the week "retro" and put different ways of seeing games and the ages of the gaming industry in the same pack.
It just weakens the discurse, dispersing dissimilar tastes in a timeframe that only gets bigger and bigger.

Not made due to changes in the company / game industry where they don't have as much freedom and can't take as many risks, and it's way harder / expensive to make a standard game on modern consoles, same reason many other series also don't sequels and even 3rd Birthday was on PSP and not PS3. You been living under a rock? It took them almost ten years just to put out a heavily cut down FFXV where the game had to be butchered, and took them more than that ( not dev. time but time since the last main game) to be able to put out KH3, and that was cut down as well, even though those are their two giga-blockbuster games. They hotshotted the whole game industry which is why the 'retro' consoles are packed full of dime-drawing classics and the new stuff is very, very scarce.
