What were some important demos to you? getting this when I got my PlayStation really blew me away. So many things to try and so many of them were excellent.

The PS2 demo that deleted all your saves when you played through the Viewtiful Joe 2 demo was pretty memorable.

My mom got us this because it was cheap.
Thanks to it I bough War of the Monsters and Jak II, which are excellent games.

I used to play the shit out of the official playstation magazine demo of the getaway. There was an exploit where you could cancel the time limit and roam around as long as you wanted

One of these PlayStation Interactive CD Sampler Packs had a timelapse of E3 displays and I haven't been able to figure out which one.

The Demo 1 that my neighbours had with their Playstation. A much more fun disc than the one I got with my earlier model Playstation.
We'd spend hours on Tekken 2, taking turns trying to get the most eliminations in Wipeout 2097, and having a blast playing that first airport level of Die Hard Trilogy.

Interactive CD Sampler Volume 8, that had MediEvil 1, Spyro 1, and MGS1 on it, I played it so much it barely works anymore. Ironically I never ended up getting any of those games as a kid.

Also when I got a PS2, Winter 2003 Jampack had a really good demo of Ratchet and Clank 2 that I played to death.

The Pizza Hut demos. Shit was awesome. Get to enjoy some games along with a pizza.

Even though I was buying PSM all the time, I don't remember really using the PS1 demo discs, I had a big collection. PS2 though, I remember PSM putting out some excellent compilations. I remember one that had a ton of games and videos, including a SOCOM and Silent Hill 3 demo that I played a lot of.

I don’t remember PSM having demos. I know OPL did.

They didn't have them consistently but every so often they'd have one, and when they did it always had a ton of content on them compared to the few examples I got from random other magazines I picked up.
