any hdmi cables for the original xbox are just converting the analog component signal to a digital HDMI signal, the original xbox never supported native HDMI. There is a mod for native HDMI support but you need to be good at soldering.

vga is essentially just RGB, which both the xbox and ps2 can do via scart, though component is essentially the same in quality and works much better for the og xbox. You can also mod your xbox to output a vga signal if you really want to.

takes some time, get a decent startech adapter, a quality sata drive like a western digital. Make sure you get the appropriate length IDE cable and once you have the softmod running all it takes is about 10-15 minutes of transferring to be running on the new drive.

It's worse in a few ways. The fog is worse, the audio is worse, the fmvs are worse, there is some (rare) hitching not present in the PS2 version. But you do get a per pixel flashlight which is better than the PS2's per vertex flashlight. Just watch DF retro's SH2 video:

It's still a good version. I started with the Xbox version and loved it. I wish they released SH3 on Xbox too.

Anyway, as of right now the PC enhanced edition version is probably the best way to play SH2
