Best game in the series, fuck what you heard

>> No.7968721

It DOES have Zan. Plus the recharging meter for special attacks is a good addition.

I played it when I was a teen because I loved SoR2. I didn't like SoR3 at all. I didn't want to be anybody, and the music SUCKED! I'm not going to play it again. SoR4 or whatever the new one is, is better. I mean it's a longer game but pfft, don't like it.

Play the Jap version. It is infinitely better, due to enemies taking less hits. I wouldn't recommend normal difficulty, as it is too easy on the Jap version.

The worst thing about the US version is how they fuck up the palettes. It's so bad.

Came here to agree with this. SoR2 may not play quite as well, but it's still my #1 /vr/ soundtrack ever

Being able to move while attacking makes it feel less stiff. Some of the music can give me a slight headache though but there are some good tracks. This should have been a premiere title for sega to compete with Nintendo along with golden axe 3.

SOR 1 plays well but has some pretty bland graphics in areas, I tried to hack the tiles but they are compressed in a different way to other games so I could only modify the characters.

I get in the zone listening to the soundtrack while working out.

Tom back - Rom Hack.

Autocorrect

>> No.7969251

people only say 2 is the best because of "le epic soundtrack", they havent even played the games. and 3 has the best soundtrack anyway.

2 is universally liked over 3.

The only good addition 3 made was the charge meter.

The story was bloated, the levels were uninspired and dull. (Start in a warehouse on a dock.. fun) the music was extremely niche for the time and the shitty USA version with the pointless censorship and random pallet swap.

3 was a huge downgrade.
2>1>4>3

the levels are better and more varied than 2. the gameplay is better because they added the running, rolling, and more special moves, its way faster and 2 feels like a slog in comparison. and i doubt anyone gives a shit about the story in a game like this.

>> No.7969275

>>7969246
If it was that easy, it would have been done already. There is a hack that disables the music if it bothers you that much.

You can’t seriously believe this.
Look at the levels of both games and seriously tell me you genuinely believe this

Amusement park > arcade > pirate ship > alien hive in a single level. Did you even play 2?

>> No.7969428

>>7969295
theres not much difference since the levels in both games are mostly just straight corridors, but 3 has the subway with the trolley thing you have to dodge which is cool, and the buildings where you have to go into different rooms, the bulldozer setpiece in the construction site, theres at least slightly more variety.

nobody gives a fuck about this kind of variety, we want beaches, pirate ships, actual ships, alien hive etc.

All 3 had was city, city, undeground, night club, city, city, building etc. All very grey and very repetitive. Mind you SOF2 had all of that but it had other levels too, the stadium that goes straight down to a super cool underground arena etc.

Each and every stage was cool as fuck.

In SOR3 I only remember the trolley stage and the bar one, the rest were just forgettable, was there a forest level and a laboratory too?

>> No.7970856

SoR2 is overrated and SoR3 is underrated. Even then, 2 is still superior to 3.

bulldozer is the worst song in video game history
