What are some good dungeon crawler games? Gauntlet Dark Legacy is one of my favorite games of all time with countless hours of gameplay with friends and family. I'm hoping there are some similar games out there that still hold up.

an action RPG can be a dungeon crawler but a dungeon crawler is not necessarily an action RPG. a dungeon crawler in the most traditional sense would be something akin to might and magic or even king's field where you explore open-ended or even generated environments and there's a fairly heavy focus on interaction, puzzle solving etc. A third person action RPG can have those same elements while focusing more on combat, so it could conceivably be considered a crawler too. Gauntlet probably isnt what most oldheads mean when they refer to this genre but it's a legitimate use since the game is literally about exploring endless dungeon mazes, even if the questing and interaction are simplistic.

Also, the Hunter: the Reckoning games. The first one is Xbox/GameCube multiplat, the second one is PS2 exclusive, the third one is Xbox exclusive.
