Stupidest post on this board (which is an incredible feat in and of itself).

I am very fond of this form factor. It carries a satisfaction that's hard to convey.
It's small, but hearty. Both physically and digitally.
And having a bunch of them together makes a wonderful clacking noise. Utilizing one feels almost important despite its actual purpose.
This was a taste of a fantasy future.

Hoping we get a ps2 version of the memory card pro

Was it just the PS2 that had 3D save files?
I only ever had a PS2, so I don't know if DreamCast, GameCube and Xbox did the same.

I always thought deleting that PS2 file was akin to deleting System32

always thought it would have been cool if Sony made a handheld and used these memory cards as the cartridges, allowing for easy interactivity between systems

The joke is that every time you saved a game it would give you this mile-long verbose save message

Apparently it contains a database of the titles you play and the length of time you play (which is used for the 'pillars' that appear when the system boots)

I always found the concept of memory cards inconvenient.

I used to make my sister write these out for me because my handwriting was so bad even I couldn't read it. Truly the pinnacle of convenience.

As a kid they just made sense. Something was pretty cool about them being portable. Took my memory card to a lot of kid's houses. Don't know why I miss that in particular.

GameCube did not have 3D models, it had animated icons similar to PS1. Wii inherited this later.
