Yes, I tested both versions, but you're totally right: the patched version (or original japanese) flows much better, with overall less grinding and damage-sponge enemies. It's just I haven't gotten compelled to finish it yet. Maybe I'll try again sometime. Who knows if I'll enjoy the game more.

There is a patch that fixes the game balancing changes WD did, at least. The translation itself is fine if you like some 90s dub cheese. I'd take Megumi over it but it's still fine.
