Saturn brothers,
How we doing tonight?

>> No.7941873

Sold mine, sick of load times. I am one of the few outside of japan that played all discs of SF3 and beat the final boss with combined parties I acquired in all of them.

Is that the tng interactive board game back there. I had that but I think it was a white box.

>> No.7941875

Saturn chad, I'm a sega fan but I've literally never played a Saturn. Please tell me one game I should check out (no RPGs) and I'll play it on emulator it this week. I have a 6-button controller and I need to pop my Saturn cherry.
Thanks

>> No.7941876

Currently got mine on a shelf. I should maybe plan on playing OutRun since it won't be making the cut on my MAME cabinet unfortunately.

I like Psychic Killer Taromaru as a showpiece for the console. It's a fun, short, not too difficult game with awesome scenarios and blends 3D into 2D environments very well. Since you've never played it, it's a good way to show you the heights the console can achieve.

Oh and don't worry about emulation, mednafen seems to do the trick these days. The only wrong way to play Saturn is to not play it at all.

Pretty shitty. My Saturn won't keep a save or the date and time anymore. I replaced the battery, but the problem persists. I think the battery slot is fucked up. Probably gonna buy a new Saturn soon.

I mean, did you try flipping the battery around? Positive goes on top. I've never seen one of those break before.

That's how you know it's a real game, it pushes you to a physical strain doing no unordinary action. It exercises you, makes you better.

> Fucking around with carts
> Actually burning discs in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty one

Just buy an ODE already. Get a MODE, it's the shit. If you're too poor to buy one than mow some lawns or get a McJob and then buy a Fenrir for a hundred bucks. Both are easy to install as long as you're not a retard, and they don't require any soldering (just a screwdriver). It's so much better.

>>7941875
If you like drivan try Sega Rally. It's arcade racing perfection. Fun fact - the game's differentiation between ground surfaces and their impact on the grip level of the car was what got some dudes at Codemasters interested in making a realistic rally game. They ended up making Colin McRae Rally as a result.

>> No.7944531

>>7942807
>Get a MODE
Nah, get a Fenrir, it's cheaper and better. If you most spend $250 for an ODE then get a Satiator as it's plug and play and requires no modifications. MODE is overpriced for what it offers.

Okay. I got most of the Saturn titles I wanted some years ago. Including Panzer Dragoon Saga. Its too bad the games are so expensive these days or I'd get more. Oh well. I guess I'll get a Satiator for the expansion port some day.

>spend countless hot, humid summer nights playing SotN on a CRT on the couch while eating pic related, the melodic hum of the air conditioner reverberating throughout the room
>12am, full moon shining through the window and lighting up my room while i play SotN on grandpa's old couch eating maruchan sukiyaki ramen (with a little bit of sugar added for flavor), all while my gf's teddy bear she knit for me sitting with me while we move through the castle together
god, it was like 2 years ago and that was one of the most memorable summers i've ever had, all thanks to my her, that ramen, and symphony of the night. i will never ever sell that saturn. although, it makes me really upset that the save file i had when i was dating her was wiped for some reason, probably a bad save battery. we got back together though, so it's alright. i loved that summer.

You can beat it in an hour or so, it's not a lengthy game. Great for 2 player or a quick playthrough tho. The game never relents and is always switching things up.

no thanks, I know if I got one I would download every single saturn game and just endlessly scroll through them unable to decide on which one to play. I'm better off burning one disc at a time.
